The fog has lifted!

Well, today is the first day that I have actually felt close to normal. I got a great night's sleep. Woke up hungry, and for the first time in close to a week, I think I might have a good day.

I am giving mad props to a detoxification tea I have been drinking for the last 36 hours that really helped me turn the corner. Yogi Tea is a brand that is found in most health food stores and one I have used for different focuses in the past with varied results. I have used their Fasting, Sleep, and Echinacea blends in the past. This DeTox blend is wonderful! I felt a difference after the very first 8 oz. I specifically drank three cups yesterday, and after each I felt better and better. This morning I have a marked improvement.

So kids, the moral of this story is, #1 try to stay away from Prednisone or Prednisone-like drugs. #2 if you need to address certain ailments, try this brand of herbal teas that most likely will do the trick for what ails you! Cheers!
Two thought provoking sayings found during my recent absence from society:

"No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway."--bottle top from Honest Tea
"Recognize that the other person is you."-- tab from DeTox Yogi Tea (I love this one. )

Life is Good

Does it get any better than this?
Plasma TV, PS2, Bose headphones, Prince of Persia 2 game....ahhh

Evil in a tablet

I must beg forgiveness from my many adoring fans (Bren) since I have been a bit under the weather the last few days. I am in the throws of detoxifying from a course of Prednisone. That stuff is awful! If you never have to take it---GOOD! I'm sure it has it's place, and I'm also sure that I needed some of the properties it dispensed, but OMG I feel awful! I feel like a truck has not only run me over, but backed up a few times just to make sure I was pulverized. Everything hurts. A walk to the bathroom leaves me out of breath. If I sit still long enough, I will fall asleep--even if I just woke up!

I hope to be back ranting and raving soon. Luckily, the world seems quiet, so there is not much to stir me although just being home for the week has been very entertaining and enlightening.

Progress!

Baby steps were made today when Mason went to his crate voluntarily to sleep in his bed! We have been working to make him more comfortable and look at his crate as a safe place of refuge, not just to be used when we leave the house. It was so great to stumble across him taking a break in his casa! Posted by Picasa

Christmas Eve 2005

Although we have spent the day not feeling so well, we summonsed enough strength to open stockings for the kids! Karly was more enthralled with the approaching thunderstorm that would soon keep us all up most of the night. Nonetheless, it is always fun to open stockings and start the traditions of Christmas!

Tantrums are not becoming...

Awww. Georgie isn't getting his way on the renewal of the Patriot Act. Oh well, I'm sure he'll take it like an adult. Pathetic.

Stocking stuffers for my family!

Is anyone really surprised?

No, this is not a photoshop job. It is real and it is scary!

This has got to be something akin to the Virgin Mary showing up on the side of a tree or a smudgy window. Only when this guy shows up people run, especially the gays!

I have to give credit to Groomzilla for this pic. If you want a witty account of the life of a New Yorker, visit his site! Genius!

My very own Katamari !

We have managed to create our very own Katamari in our garage, yet again!
It seems like no matter how much we try to keep it organized and clean, it ends up this way at least once a year! Thank goodness it is really just a bunch of empty cardboard boxes.

C'mon just do it!

Go to google.com

Welcome to 1984

"Whatever I do to protect the American people, I have an obligation to do so, uh, that we will uphold the law, and uh, decisions made are made understanding we have a obligation to protect the civil liberties of the American people."
---George W. Bush
Did this guy even go to school? Who taught him to speak? Oh I get it...The game is to speak in such horribly mangled sentences that no one, especially Billy Bob in PoDunk, can decipher them and therefore never question anything he says. All behind the veil of 9/11.
This pretty little piece was dropped on, you guessed it, Friday afternoon.

Yep, us gays will just ruin the sanctity of marriage.

This might sting a little...

Fridays are fun!

We had a fairly busy morning seeing animals. Here is my sweetheart working hard.
It is a wonderful priviledge to work with someone who has such passion for her craft. She is such a good doctor, person, friend. I am so lucky to spend mostly every waking hour with her. (swoon)

One can dream...

Where are my manners?

I have been so remiss in forgetting to thank all you Bush supporters. Thank you for making it easy to spot you out in public. You proudly continue to display your support via the campaign stickers from 2004. Due to that unwaivering support, I now can stay clear of you in traffic and parking lots. I wouldn't want my beautiful Khaki to get cooties!

I freaking love this game!

How much do I love this game? It is BEAUTIFUL! You'd think that a game comprised of 16 boss levels would be daunting, boring, repetative... Shadow of the Colossus is none of these!
After loving Ico and hoping for a sequel, I was so excited for Colossus. It did not disappoint, and has made me wish I knew more people who appreciate thoughtful smart games so I could share my experience. The best game no one is playing! How sad. Their loss.

The Kyoto Protocol talks are ending this weekend and the White House has once again managed to make a spectacle of itself, and a mockery of the office.
Why is it that our strategy for everything is go in and act like a bully, refuse to cooperate, and manipulate the situation so that everyone else involved has to kiss our ass in the end? It is just embarrassing.
Apparently George W. Bush feels like any binding agreement to reduce greenhouse emissions in the future would not be a wise choice for our economy. What the hell? Didn't he mean to say that he saw no direct positive affect on his wallet, so it can't be good?
No one can deny that this has been a record setting year for hurricanes, and whether or not you are on board with the idea of global warming you have to admit that things are changing in the climate arena.
According to Bush, we can't afford to be proactive, but we can afford to foot the bill for such catastrophic weather events as Hurricane Katrina?

Thank God for the voice of diplomacy, Bill Clinton (still my president).

'Christ'mas?

This just cracks me up. Makes me laugh in a "you are so pathetic and hypocritical" way. Thanks for the endorphins.
This is me. I'm doing my fourth Aqua-Chi. I look pretty happy, huh?

Don't be deceived, for below my knees lurks another awful result from my Aqua-Chi! What is going on?

"Happy" Holidays?

Has anyone told the buffoons at Faux News that their illustrious leader seems to be leading the 'War on Christmas'? Take a look at the benign, politically correct holiday card that reached 1.4 million homes this week!
I think it is hilarious that he is at the point now where he even pisses off his own party! Leave it to Bill O'Lieley to spin it back on the Dems, however.

How much more do we take?

Here are a few little tidbits to throw out during your next conversation/yelling match with a "conservative":
  • The Iraq war is currently costing us $5.6 billion EVERY MONTH
  • Congress is currently mulling over yet another tax cut of $70 billion, 3/4 of which will go to the wealthiest 3% of Americans. Are you on that list?
  • It is currently in the Republican's plans to cut food-stamp benefits for 300,000 people, cut health benefits for 6 million poor children on Medicaid, and cut 270,000 kids from child-care assistance programs. Does this sound pro-family to you?

what a happy buddah

Thought I'd post a pic of my newest Buddah, so the first thing that is seen on the blog is this happy face and NOT my disgusting Aqua-Chi!
I bet this guy's Aqua-Chi isn't gross!

Oh! It's definitely Aqua-Gross!

Well, I went back today for my second Aqua-Chi to help me resolve some allergy issues I am having. Since my session was so utterly gross two days ago, I figured it HAD to be better today. No. In fact not only was it just as gross, but a new green foamy color was added to the mix. I have for sure got something going on in my liver/gallbladder area.
To be continued...

what a friend!

I came home today at lunch to find three little red Buddahs resting on my front doorstep! At first I thought the Buddah Fairy had visited while I worked, but then I realized that my wonderful friend Bren had left me a present! What a nice surprise! Posted by Picasa
